Dear AEC Students & Families,

Thank you for a strong start to the 2026-2027 school year! We’re halfway through our first grading period at Valley View—and our first progress check at the rest of our schools and programs—and I want to encourage you to keep pushing ahead.

As we move forward, I encourage students to set important goals such as getting to school on time, working hard and being present in class, and spending extra time at home to complete your coursework. I also encourage students to get involved and get moving by taking ROP, Adult School, or community college courses as well as get in daily exercise and plenty of rest to stay healthy. Your AEC Family is here to help you stay connected and provide you with the resources you need to be successful. Please check your ParentSquare and StudentSquare for announcements, events, and messages about school activities and opportunities.

I’d also like to remind parents and guardians that our doors are always open. Stop by and visit me, our admin team, or our counselors any time to ask questions and to receive updates on your student’s progress. We always look forward to working with families as a team to support our students. If you have not already done so, please contact the front office to ensure we have your email address and cell phone number. This is extremely important so you can receive announcements from us throughout the year. We can also help you get set up with email, Aeries Parent Portal, and/or ParentSquare if you don’t already have an account.

It is my honor to work with such fantastic students and our amazing staff to make the Alt Ed Center a welcoming environment for all. I look forward to a wonderful school year.
